As we look ahead to our 2024 Legacy Offering, it’s important to take a moment to step back and look at the fruit of Soul Sanctuary’s generosity in our 2023 Legacy Offering. Over 240 people gave generously and sacrificially, over and above their tithes, contributing over $95,000 towards the Legacy Offering last year. We’re excited to share how the funds we gave have made a difference in our community.

Camps are a welcoming, fun, and relaxed environment that nurtures conversation and deeper relationships. For many kids and students a week at camp is the next step in their faith journey, an opportunity to learn more about God, to experience a loving community, and to engage with Jesus through worship, prayer, and Scripture.

The 2023 Legacy Offering is going towards fulfilling three key initiatives: (1) Local and Global Initiatives, (2) Technological upgrades to our Children’s and Youth Ministry spaces, and (3) Church vitality initiatives.

By focusing on the number of people who give to the Legacy Offering, we aim to cultivate a sense of unity and shared purpose within our community—a reminder that each individual plays an integral part in our collective journey as we learn to become generous followers of Jesus.

Last year we set out a goal of raising $150,000, over and above our regular tithes, to fulfill three vision-based initiatives that would help us better actualize our vision of being a community of refuge, repair, and rejuvenation for all people. One of our family values is that we believe that the message of Jesus is for everyone, this includes the youngest of children in our community. We’re so excited to implement a series of important changes to our Sunday ministry for those in Soul Kids and Soul Kids Jr.

Why do you show up to Soul on Sunday mornings? What meaning is there in coming together in person to sing, pray, and hear a sermon preached from the Bible? Sundays is a five week sermon series that explores the “why” of our Sunday worship gatherings. Starting on September 10 we will examine the core elements of our Sunday worship gatherings and explore their historical and spiritual significance along with how they directly relate to Christian practice.

We believe that the message of Jesus is for everyone, our children and youth included. Here at Soul we place a strong emphasis on our Family Ministries and prioritize the discipleship of young people in recognition that they are at a critical time in their faith formation.
