We all wrestle with life’s biggest questions; questions about hope, purpose, meaning, and love. Imagine a space where people in our community; our friends, neighbours, and co-workers can come and have conversations in a way that is authentic and unforced.

In 2022 we set out to hire a Children’s Ministry Pastor who would oversee the vision, Servant Leaders, and ministry activities related to Soul Kids, Soul Kids Jr. and Soul Kids Summer Ministries.

In keeping with our desire to be a transparent and accountable community, here is an update on the dispersion of our Legacy Offering funds that were given in late 2022.

Over the course of the last month there have been some staffing changes at Soul Sanctuary that are new and noteworthy.

This year we will not receive federal funding for our summer camps, resulting in a $50,000 budget reduction. Instead of canceling our plans we are committed to ensuring a successful summer of kids and youth camps. Here is how you can help make this summer a the best summer yet!

Essentials is a five week sermon series that explores the foundational elements of the Christian faith. Starting on May 21 we will preach through a series of essential Christian doctrines in a way that makes them accessible to all people, Christian and skeptic alike.

In How to Read the Bible, our adult Sunday School Course, we will explore different methods of biblical interpretation and learn how to apply them to the text. We will explore ancient history and will examine the literary forms and structures of the Bible. We will also look at how the Bible has been interpreted throughout history and discuss its relevance for our lives today.

We’re excited to welcome Lauren Ritchie to the Soul Sanctuary staff team for a six month term as our Connections Director. As Connections Director, Lauren will oversee our Sunday morning hospitality ministries, creative ministries, communications, and event management.

Our desire is to be a community that demonstrates a commitment to financial stewardship and accountability. The following report is an overview of Soul Sanctuary’s finances from January through December 2022.

A sabbatical is an intentional time away from the everyday responsibilities of Christian ministry that is specifically aimed at reinvigorating and renewing the mind and heart of the pastor through rest, study, writing, reflection, and travel.

Our desire is to see people know God, find freedom, discover purpose and make a difference. We believe that we are more effective in accomplishing this mission when we train and equip our young people to participate in all areas of church life.

If you’re a follower of Jesus Christ then your next step is water baptism. As we are baptized in water, we are saying goodbye to our old life, and saying hello to a new creation who is in Christ Jesus!

If you call Soul Sanctuary your home church community we want you to join us as we come together for Team Day on March 11. Team Day is a chance for us to celebrate the contributions of our Servant Leaders to the life of our church community and to practically equip our Servant Leaders for ministry.

As of February 9, 2023 over 135 people have contributed a total of $149,789.03 towards our $150,000 goal, allowing us to work towards the fulfillment of all our initiatives!
