Christmas for Everyone

One of our family values is that "we believe that you can’t do life alone.” This value is a communal value, something we strive to embody together as the Soul family. But in order for a value to be more than words on a page, it must be lived and embraced in the lives of the community’s individuals.

This Christmas we want to live in accordance with this value by ensuring that no one from the Soul community spends Christmas alone.

Here’s the plan:

  1. If Soul is your home church community, consider signing up as a Host and opening your Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, or Boxing Day gathering to others from Soul who may not have family or friends to spend the day with. You don’t need to schedule another gathering, you simply need to be willing to open up your already planned gathering to someone from your church family.

    • Think outside the box! You may want to sign up as a Host in order to welcome others as they join you in participating in other Christmas traditions like ice-skating, tobogganing, or watching Christmas movies.

  2. Fill out the form letting us know the details of your Christmas gathering, including what your guests can expect and how many guests you’d be able to welcome. One of our pastors will contact you to confirm the details of your event and will then add your Christmas gathering to our database.

  3. Those without somewhere to spend Christmas will be able to view the database of available gatherings, starting on December 15, and will sign up to attend. To ensure the privacy of our hosts, all sign ups will be vetted by one of our pastors. Our Church Center database ensures that no identifying private information, apart from the host’s name, will be publicly accessible online.

Our database will be live by December 15, to give 10 days for people who don’t have Christmas plans to be able to register to attend a gathering. If Soul is your home church community, we challenge you to consider how you may be able to be “church family” for those who may not have their families with them this Christmas.
