Soul Kids - The Weekend of March 20-22
Our Team at Soul desires to resource you during this time. Our desire is that your kids may be cared for and instructed in the way of Jesus, even if we can’t come together. Jill and her team have assembled lesson plans for Friday The Mix and Sunday Soul Kids that you can do with your family.
The Mix Lesson Plan - Jesus Said What? - “I am the vine.”
The branches of a plant cannot survive unless they are continually connected to the main vine. Jesus is the Vine. To live a holy, fruitful, and happy life, we need to be constantly connected to Him. Prayer and Bible study help us stay connected to Jesus.

Review
We have learned 7 “I Am” statements of Jesus in the last two and a half months. Can you remember all 7?
1. I AM (which means that Jesus is God).
2. I am the Bread of Life.
3. I am the Light of the World.
4. I am the Gate for the Sheep.
5. I am the Good Shepherd.
6. I am the Resurrection and the Life.
7. I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
Time for our LAST statement!
Bible Passage
Read John 15:1-17 to hear Jesus say, “I am the Vine.”
Object Lesson
Our final saying from Jesus is that He is the vine, and we are the branches. To understand this, go look at a plant in your house.
See how all the branches connect back to the main part of the plant? The branches cannot survive on their own. They rely on the vine for nourishment and strength that only comes from the roots.
Just like branches on a plant, we need to stay connected to Jesus to grow in our faith. Spend time each day reading the Bible and praying to stay connected!
Craft
Print and cut out the last piece to your puzzle. Decorate it with whatever you have at home.
Soul Kids Sunday Lesson - Jesus Healed a Woman and Raised a Girl
Jesus has the power to heal people from sickness, sin, and death. In this story (Mark 5:21-43), people thought Jesus was too late to save the girl, but instead he healed the bleeding woman, and raised Jairus’s daughter from the dead. Jesus doesn’t always work the way we expect, but He always works for the good of God’s kingdom.
