Soul Kids This Summer!
Our Family Ministries team is so excited for a summer of fun at Soul Kids! Here are a few things that you and your kids can look forward to.
Family Ministry Summer BBQ
On Wednesday, July 13 we’re hosting a summer BBQ and you’re invited to join us! We desire to build relationships with the children, youth, and families in our community and are looking forward to an evening of food, community building, and entertainment (bouncers, lawn games, glitter tattoos and more!).
You’ll also have a chance to pick up a summer family or youth devotional guide that will help you and your family take time to talk about faith in Jesus wherever you may be this summer.

Summer Camp Openings
While most of our camps are full we still have a couple spots in our Adventure Camps, both July 25-29 or August 8-12. These weeks will include multiple outings to various experiences around Winnipeg. Outings include the Zoo, museums, a farm, and Lower Fort Garry!
July: Soul Kids Sunday
In July our Soul Kids Sunday teaching is aimed at fulfilling the following learning objectives:
Kids will learn that the Bible is inspired by God, written by humans but authored by the Holy Spirit.
Kids will learn that God the Father is trustworthy and good.
Kids will learn about the two natures of Christ, that he is fully human and fully divine.
Kids will learn that the Holy Spirit is our advocate and guide.
These lessons will be taught through Riddle Rangers curriculum, where our kids will be head into dangerous jungles to decode mysterious writings found in a cave! During the “Riddle Rangers” series, kids will become a part of this riddle-filled adventure—an adventure that ultimately leads to the revelation of the greatest Truths the world has ever known.
August: Soul Kids Sunday
In August our Soul Kids Sunday teaching is aimed at fulfilling the following learning objective:
Kids will learn that God’s love is greater than our sin.
Kids will learn that God is a promise keeper and that we can trust that his promises will last forever.
Kids will learn that God’s plans are unstoppable and that we can trust that they are good for us.
Kids will learn that God is real, that his promises are true and that we can trust in him even though we can’t see him.
Kids will learn that God desires us to humbly put others before ourselves.
During the month of August, a new “whatsit” will be revealed each week! To the average person a whatsit looks like an everyday object but, with a little imagination a whatsit can become anything you want it to be! Kids will have fun using their imaginations as we explore the above lessons through the stories in the book of Genesis.
