Easter Weekend, Together
We would like to invite you to participate with us in Easter Weekend gatherings that focus on the timeless reality of Jesus Christ’s life, death and resurrection on both Friday, April 10 and Sunday, April 12.
Life is different in our city, nation and our world today than it was just one month ago. But despite the long list of dramatic changes in our society and the inability to worship together physically, we want to take time to intentionally pause and reflect on Holy Week and Easter.
Bad Friday
Our Bad Friday gathering will be a one hour journey to the cross with scripture and song as our guide. Together we will recount Jesus’ last hours before his crucifixion, reflecting on the emotions that Jesus’ followers felt as they watched their friend, leader, teacher and saviour die. Easter Sunday
This year Easter Sunday will be an online celebration which recounts the resurrection of Jesus Christ and His victory over death. We will unite digitally across our city to sing, pray and rejoice together! Pastor Gerry will also be taking up an Easter Offering with the intention of supporting the food bank of Living Word Temple, our sister church in north Winnipeg. Easter with Soul Kids
We’re excited to announce a special Soul Kids online celebration for Easter Sunday! On Saturday our team of servant leaders will be deploying across the city to deliver Easter Party bags to all families with children aged 2-10 who have checked into Soul Kids at least twice in the last four months. You can expect a smiling face who will leave a bag on your doorstep that is filled with supplies to have an at-home Easter party. The bag is a family activity and will have an accompanying video that will walk you through a lesson, activities and games!

NOTE: The Easter Bags were compiled while following social distancing protocols and high standards of sanitation. The delivery person will knock on your door and leave the bag on your door step before backing away from the door.
