Steering Committee Leader in Training Nominations
In January 2019, Soul Sanctuary launched the Steering Committee Leaders in Training ministry, an opportunity for younger adults to learn about servant leadership and decision making in the church. The Steering Committee is the overseeing body of Soul Sanctuary’s staff, a group of dedicated community members, both men and women, who protect our staff and oversee the direction of the church. In 2019 four young adults, between the ages of 18-25, had the opportunity to join the Soul Sanctuary Steering Committee as Leaders in Training for a one year term. These designated leaders sit as non-legal and non-voting advisors to the Steering Committee, they serve to represent the heart of the younger generation at Soul. Leaders in Training have the opportunity to actively participate and fully express their opinion during Soul Sanctuary Steering Committee meetings and discussions. They have been assigned a Steering Committee member to act as their mentor while they are in this role. This mentorship relationship is a venue where Leaders in Training can discuss the vision and mission of Soul Sanctuary and debrief and address issues or questions that come up during Steering Committee meetings.
Our desire is to develop the next generation of church leaders, today. We believe that God has gifted the young and old in our community and we desire to cultivate those gifts. Nominations are now open for our next group of Steering Committee Leaders in Training.
