Mental Health and the Chaos of Life
Statistics Canada reports that the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic was directly connected to an overall decline in the mental health of Canadians. Anxiety, sadness, stress, and loneliness were identified as the leading emotional challenges faced by Canadians. The reality is that Canadians are facing a vast array of mental health challenges and few feel adequately equipped to engage with these challenges.
If you’re interested in exploring the topic of mental health from a Christian perspective in a welcoming and non-judgemental environment, then we invite you to join us for our “Mental Health and the Chaos of Life” seminar with guest speaker Joanne Goodwin. Joanne uses her incredible gift of humour to tell her story of mental health struggle, diagnosis, and treatment. Joanne holds her Master’s degree in Theology from Tyndale University and Seminary and is a former talk radio host. She is a gifted communicator that will leave you laughing, crying, and profoundly changed.
The seminar will take place from 10am-3pm on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Soul Sanctuary (2050 Chevrier Blvd.) at a cost of $20 per person with included lunch. Childcare services are also available. We invite you to come and hear Joanne’s story of struggle, perseverance, and total reliance on the grace of God.
