Getting into Summer with Soul Kids

Hey Soul Family, Summer is upon us! Get ready for warm weather, beach days, and new teaching content for Soul Kids Sundays! Let’s take a look at what’s happening in June for your kids.

Community Lunch

On June 12, after the Gathering we will be getting together for a free BBQ lunch outside and in the atrium. We will be cooking hotdogs, with a side of chips and an ice cream treat for dessert. Our desire is to create a space where we can come together in community, eating with one another and enjoying each other's company! There will be lots of games and activities for your kids to enjoy. Feel free to reserve your free lunch at the button below, or to bring your own!

Grade 5 Recognition

Grade 5 Recognition is coming up fast on June 5th. As a church community, we believe in taking as many opportunities as we can to celebrate each other! Over the past several weeks, the grade 5 students have been involved in a youth leader led class called Alpha which focuses on learning the fundamentals of Christianity, and having conversations about life, faith, and Jesus. This Sunday, we will be taking the opportunity to recognize and celebrate the grade 5’s milestone of completing their Alpha class, and moving from their time in Soul Kids Sundays to YOUNGLIFE youth!

Introducing Battle Squids in Soul Kids Sundays

On Sundays in the month of June we will be splitting your kids into two squads of squids battling to get their tentacles on the last few fish in the ocean. In order to win the “Feast of Fish,” the two squads will have a fishy face-off filled with wisdom from the Book of Proverbs! Kids and their leaders will engage intentionally in the themes and lessons contained in Proverbs as they play and compete for themed prizes!

We are committed to helping you raise your children in the way of Jesus. You can always contact our Soul Kids team by reaching out to alyssa@soulsanctuary.ca.
