Soul Support: Kurt, Janelle and Stevie

On July 5, 2021 Janelle and Kurt Kornelsen, a couple from the Soul community, became new parents as they gave birth to their daughter Stevie Monroe. About a month later Stevie was diagnosed with an enlarged heart (dilated cardiomyopathy). After a week in the Winnipeg Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Stevie was transferred to the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit in Edmonton where she was placed on the list for a heart transplant.

Janelle and Kurt have relocated to Edmonton to care for their daughter with no timeline for a return to Winnipeg. As a church community we have the opportunity to pray, care for and support the Kornelsen family.
