Latin America

James and Colleen Gusjolen and LAC Ministries are leading the work of the PAOC (Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada) throughout Latin American and the Caribbean regions. Their mission is pioneering transformation through spiritual growth, ministry to marginalized groups, humanitarian relief and development, education and training, and ministry based businesses.

Soul Sanctuary specifically supports the work of James and Coleen Gusjolen, directors of LAC Ministries, a PAOC affiliate.

I think we notice God better when something has ‘impossible’ written over it. It’s in that place, in desperation, we have no alternative but to trust God. And it is here we experience the presence of God. And it is here we notice God. Being in the “impossible” place might be just the place God wants us.
— James Gusjolen

History

All Hands Held Fund (AHHF) was established in memory of Alana Fife and Hannah Showaker, two young women who lost their lives in a flash flood on January 22, 2003 on the island of Java, Indonesia.

Indonesia

AHHF funds a series of university scholarships and bursaries in the area where Alana and Hannah were working. Furthermore, the fund supports an orphanage and school where Alana and Hannah volunteered.

Kenya

Helping Hands Kenya is a Christian charity that gives opportunities for schooling and training to underprivileged children, youth, and adults. The program for children runs from kindergarten through the fifth grade. Adults are offered a variety of skills including entrepreneurship, leadership training, discipleship training, and Biblical education for local church leaders. Since 2005, Dr. Bernard Mascher and his wife Celia began a series of projects within Helping Hands Kenya with a goal to bring the disabled out of the shadows and provide them with hope for the future.
